Donation Refund & Return Policy

1) Definitions

• Organization: Daan Patra Foundation, New Delhi, India.
• Donation: Monetary support or in-kind contribution for our charitable initiatives.
• Website/Platform: The services at https://daanpatrafoundation.org/.
• You/Donor: The person or entity making a contribution.

2) General Principle

Donations are voluntary and intended for charitable use. As a norm, donations are non-refundable. However, in exceptional cases (e.g., duplicate transaction, clear gateway error, obvious input mistake in amount), we may review and approve a refund at our discretion.

3) Eligibility & Time Window

• Submit refund requests within 7 days of the donation date.
• Provide the transaction ID, date, donor name, and reason for the request.
• Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method only.

Once approved, refunds are typically initiated within 14 days. Final credit timelines depend on the payment gateway and your bank, which are outside our control.

5) Recurring Donations

To cancel future recurring charges, please email us at least 7 days before the next scheduled debit. If a charge is already in process or settled, it will be treated as a fresh donation under this policy.

6) In-Kind Contributions

• In-kind items (e.g., food, supplies) once received cannot be returned or exchanged.
• Please confirm suitability, quantity, and delivery before sending items.

7) Tax Receipts (e.g., 80G)

If a refund is approved, any previously issued tax receipt may become void. Please retain the updated confirmation we send you for your records. See our Privacy Policy for data and receipt handling.

8) Misuse, Errors & Chargebacks

If you notice an error, contact us first. Initiating a chargeback without contacting us may delay resolution. We reserve the right to review suspected misuse or fraudulent activity and take appropriate action.

We may update this policy periodically. Changes take effect upon posting on this page. Continued use of the Platform indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
