Moonlit Seva Promise – Purnima Chara & Healing Care for Gaumata

On Purnima, the full moon reminds us of completeness—of giving, of compassion, of doing something that quietly makes the world better. Yet for many rescued, abandoned, and ageing cows, life is far from complete. Hunger, weakness, seasonal infections, and untreated injuries can turn each day into a struggle. Through this campaign, Daanpatra Foundation invites you to transform the sacred energy of Purnima into direct Gau Seva—by supporting chara (nutritious fodder) and essential treatment for Gaumata who depend on human kindness for survival.

Many people believe devotion is shown through rituals, but true devotion is also shown through responsibility. When Gaumata is hungry, even a small act becomes a blessing. When she is in pain, timely care becomes prayer. This Purnima, let your support become the warm touch that feeds, heals, and protects the ones who cannot speak, yet silently carry our culture’s deepest values.

Why Purnima Gau Seva Matters

Purnima is considered an auspicious time for daan (giving) because it symbolizes fullness—an opportunity to offer something that completes someone else’s need. For rescued cows in shelters and gaushalas, food and healthcare are the two biggest needs. Fodder shortages, rising costs, and medical emergencies can affect daily routines: a cow may miss meals, an injury may worsen, or a treatable infection may become serious. Your contribution helps ensure that care is not delayed and that nourishment remains steady, especially during demanding periods.

What Your Support Provides

1) Chara & Nutrition Support: Fresh fodder, dry fodder, and supplements that strengthen weak cows, support digestion, and improve overall well-being. Proper nourishment helps Gaumata recover faster, maintain healthy weight, and feel calmer and safer.

2) Treatment & Preventive Care: First-aid supplies, veterinary consultations, medicines, bandaging for wounds, and support for common seasonal illnesses. Preventive care like timely check-ups and basic supplements reduces suffering and avoids complications.

3) Comfort & Recovery Needs: Support items such as basic shelter upkeep, clean bedding areas, and hydration management that help cows rest, heal, and regain strength with dignity.

A Full Moon, A Full Heart

Imagine a quiet gaushala under the glow of the full moon—soft footsteps, peaceful chewing, and the relief of a cow finally eating without fear of scarcity. This is what your contribution creates: a moment of safety. For an injured cow, it can mean a dressing changed on time. For an old cow, it can mean nutritious fodder that keeps her steady. For a rescued cow, it can mean medicine that stops pain from becoming permanent.

The beauty of this campaign is that no help is “small.” A single act of giving becomes part of a larger circle of care. When many people contribute together on Purnima, the impact multiplies—more fodder served, more treatments done, more lives made comfortable.

How to Join the Purnima Gau Seva Campaign

Support Daanpatra Foundation in this Purnima Gau Seva initiative by contributing towards fodder and medical care for Gaumata. You may choose to sponsor a portion of chara, support a treatment requirement, or contribute generally so the team can address the most urgent needs first. This ensures your donation reaches where it is needed the most—without delay.

Call to Action: This Purnima, let your daan become seva. Contribute for chara and healing care for Gaumata and help create a night of peace, nourishment, and recovery under the full moon.

Note: You can place your donation details, QR code, contact number, and gaushala/location information here as per your campaign design.

Frequently Asked Questions

Daan Patra Foundation is a Sanatani, service-oriented NGO working to support temple (mandir) construction & renovation, gauraksha & animal welfare, and social upliftment through donations raised on our own crowdfunding platform. We connect willing donors with verified, dharmic causes so their daan reaches the right place.

A campaign (for example, for a mandir, annadaan, or a social cause) is created on the platform with details, images, and required funds. Devotees and well-wishers can donate online via UPI, cards, net-banking, or wallets. The collected amount is then used strictly for the stated purpose, and updates can be shared on the same campaign page.

You can support mandir construction/renovation, Sanatan dharma activities, gaushala & animal care, education & medical help for the needy, as well as other seva-based projects verified by Daan Patra. When a campaign is live, you’ll see its goal, requirement, and progress.

Where applicable, donations made through Daan Patra Foundation can be issued a receipt for your records. If the campaign mentions tax benefit (80G/12A or similar), you will get the receipt on the email you provide at checkout. Please enter correct name, email and number while donating.

Daan Patra lists only verified or internally managed dharmic/seva campaigns. Campaign owners are asked to share photos, bills, or work-in-progress updates which can be published on the campaign page so donors can see the impact.

Yes. If you are managing a mandir, a renovation, annadaan, or any Sanatani social initiative, you can apply to raise funds through Daan Patra. Submit your details and our team will verify the requirement. Start here: Start a Campaign.

You can reach us through the Contact page on the website, or write to our support team with your donation receipt/details. We’re happy to help you with campaign verification, donation confirmation, or creating a new dharmic fundraiser.
