Shanivaar Seva • Sanatani Gau Seva Drive

Shanivaar Gau Seva – Feed & Protect Stray Cows

Weekly Seva by Daanpatra Foundation • Seva with dignity, discipline & compassion

Shanivaar (Saturday) holds a special place in Sanatani tradition as a day of discipline, daan, and steady service.
On this sacred day, Daanpatra Foundation is running a focused Shanivaar Gau Seva initiative to support
stray, abandoned, and weak cows with timely feeding, clean water, and basic on-ground care. Many cows survive on unsafe waste,
suffer injuries from traffic and sharp objects, and face seasonal infections and dehydration—especially the elderly, injured, and pregnant cows.
This campaign turns devotion into action—so no Gau Mata remains hungry or unattended.

Shanivaar Gau Seva banner

Why Shanivaar Gau Seva Matters

Stray cows often spend long hours searching for food and water. Hunger pushes them toward unsafe plastic and garbage, leading to illness and
painful weakness. In winter and heat waves, dehydration and infections rise, while accident-prone roads add further risk. Organized feeding is not
only nourishment—it reduces stress, prevents suffering, and helps keep public spaces safer and calmer. On Shanivaar, a day linked with sankalp and
consistent daan, your support becomes a meaningful way to practice faith through responsibility.

What Your Donation Supports

🌿 Fresh Fodder & Feed
Green fodder, dry fodder, and balanced feed as per availability—so weak and hungry cows get timely nourishment.

💧 Clean Drinking Water
Water arrangement and refills at feeding points to reduce dehydration—especially during heat and dry spells.

🩹 Basic Care Support
Basic first response coordination for weak or injured cows wherever feasible—so urgent cases can be guided for help responsibly.

🚚 Logistics & Distribution
Transport, packing material, and volunteer coordination so feeding remains calm, clean, and organized—reducing waste and chaos.

Our Seva Promise

Daanpatra Foundation follows a dignity-first approach: respectful distribution, clean handling, and thoughtful selection of feeding points.
We prioritize vulnerable cows and aim for consistency—because real impact comes from repeated, disciplined seva. Small contributions add up to
multiple feedings and real relief on the ground.

This Shanivaar, let your devotion become protection for Gau Mata. When a hungry cow is fed at the right time, it becomes more than a meal—it
becomes peace, punya, and compassion in action.

Frequently Asked Questions

Daan Patra Foundation is a Sanatani, service-oriented NGO working to support temple (mandir) construction & renovation, gauraksha & animal welfare, and social upliftment through donations raised on our own crowdfunding platform. We connect willing donors with verified, dharmic causes so their daan reaches the right place.

A campaign (for example, for a mandir, annadaan, or a social cause) is created on the platform with details, images, and required funds. Devotees and well-wishers can donate online via UPI, cards, net-banking, or wallets. The collected amount is then used strictly for the stated purpose, and updates can be shared on the same campaign page.

You can support mandir construction/renovation, Sanatan dharma activities, gaushala & animal care, education & medical help for the needy, as well as other seva-based projects verified by Daan Patra. When a campaign is live, you’ll see its goal, requirement, and progress.

Where applicable, donations made through Daan Patra Foundation can be issued a receipt for your records. If the campaign mentions tax benefit (80G/12A or similar), you will get the receipt on the email you provide at checkout. Please enter correct name, email and number while donating.

Daan Patra lists only verified or internally managed dharmic/seva campaigns. Campaign owners are asked to share photos, bills, or work-in-progress updates which can be published on the campaign page so donors can see the impact.

Yes. If you are managing a mandir, a renovation, annadaan, or any Sanatani social initiative, you can apply to raise funds through Daan Patra. Submit your details and our team will verify the requirement. Start here: Start a Campaign.

You can reach us through the Contact page on the website, or write to our support team with your donation receipt/details. We’re happy to help you with campaign verification, donation confirmation, or creating a new dharmic fundraiser.
